Today is such a busy day. I had to distribute salary for almost 600 people in the company! My oh my! T'was really tiring!

And making things worst is the fact that I wasn't able to spend some time with MS today. *sigh* Although I had a 15-minute chat with him before going home(I really am aware of the conversation length as I was trying to prolong it even more. Too bad, his boss called him! haha) and promised to teach me all the functions of my D-Lux 4 starting tomorrow night! Yey!! ~!~

Although we really didn't talk about the status of our relationship, it was nice seeing ex-miracle again and spending some "quality time".

I have no words to describe as far as the relationship now is concerned. But whatever it is, I'm enjoying it!

Hard to Say I'm Sorry?

Alright.. it's Friday today and it means a non-working day for everybody in the UAE. As you know, Friday and Saturday are the weekdays in Muslim countries.

Anyhow, what could be the biggest surprise you could get when you wake up in a beautiful non-working day?

Today, I had a big surprise. Ex-miracle was in the house for a visit and as of this writing, he is apparently still here. What is he doing in here? He should be in Greece right? Oh well, I need not to ask. I have no more right to mingle with his private affairs anyway.

Being the friends that we are, I welcomed him with a big smile on my face! haha.. I should be civil with him right. Our parting did not left bitterness in our hearts and parted out as friends( I suppose!)

So while on the living room, we sat down side by side while he was using one of my housemates' laptop. And out of the blue, he played Hard for Me to Say I'm Sorry by Chicago. I don't want to make a big fuss out of it but the lyrics of the song, could he be sending a meaning I'm supposed to grasp?

I am not much of a "TECHIE".

I mean, for as long as my gadgets are working perfectly fine, I couldn't care less whether its software needs to be updated or what have you.

This morning, MS asked me if I already updated my Ipod to 2.2. I was like, what? Ok i see this pop-up message asking me to update my ipod every time I connect it to Itunes. But is it really much of a big deal to do so?

Anyway, when I told him that I haven't, he readily gave me his usb telling me that he downloaded the software update for me.

Awww, so sweet! *wink*

I know its just a petty thing. But the effort he exerted (if there really was an effort! haha), considering his Ipod touch is first generation while mine is second, is totally appreciated.

A Funny SMS

Last night, while lounging on my laptop watching my daily dose of K-drama, I got an SMS message that reads:

"Why your email ID is mjm_mangay?? Ah! martin john MONSTER mangay?? :)>"
The sender? MS Kwon.

I haven't sent back a reply, yet one more message was received - " :) HA HA HA..."

I know he was just trying to be funny and is on teasing mode so I just laughed it off. Moreso, he's not the humiliating type and he really doesn't mean what he said. (How can lovable me be a monster? hahaha.. I'm a lover not a fighter!)

So I answered back with the message: "Ahjussi(read:older guy), what does MS (his intials) mean? MicroSoft? Aniyo(read:no)!! Micho So(read:crazy)? Maybe! Haha :P"

His reply: "mjm Good night yo(a respect word added by Koreans at the end of their sentences) :P"

But the funnier thing is, I think it took him about forever to construct his first message! Hahaha..

Anyway, I'm giving him a 10 for the effort -- for making me laugh and for the sentence construction! (.**.)

GQ Korea's Man of the Year

Oh my! GQ Korea has just announced that their Man of the Year is (drumroll please!!!) TAE YANG!

Yes. You read it right. It's none other than Tae Yang of Big Bang. But wait, can a 20 year old be considered as a MAN already?

Romantic Island

"To shed the tiresomeness of everyday reality, four strangers head to the island of Boracay, where dreams turn into reality, and experience a romance fluttering with excitement.”

A new Korean film is set to take its primary location in the pristine island of Boracay. Romantic Island, the film's title, is set to be released in time for the Christmas season. The cast features 2 well known Korean actors: Eugene (Save the Last Dance for Me, One Mom Three Dads) & Lee Seon Kyun (Choi Han Sung of The First Shop of Coffee Prince). Also included in the cast are Lee Soo Kyung & Lee Min Ki.

The plot of the movie hasn't been divulged yet but I pressume this would be a feel good movie with lots of cheesy and romantic moments (basing on the title.. duhh) considering that it will be shot in Boracay.

I was there a few months back and I totally fell in love with the place. I enjoyed so much that I wanted to stay a few days more. I was with my BEST friends from High School which made my stay even more memorable aside from the fact that Bora is really an enticing place.

Indeed, more and more people are being enchanted by this majestic place. Not to mention, a lot of them are Koreans as they were found all over the place (pun intended!) :) I just hope that the movie will capture the best Boracay has to offer so as to boost the tourism industry there. More foreigners mean more jobs for my kababayans! Yey!~~

Oh well let's just wait and see whether this movie will either be a hit or a miss!

Can ex-lovers really end up as friends?

I have just finished watching Love and Marriage. And I have to say that it is in the same league with The First Shop of Coffee Prince with regards to being a feel good drama.

Yes, it has some flaws but with the cutesy and giddy up episodes intertwined, you can barely even notice it.

Love and Marriage ended on a happy note. If you are into sugar coated, dreamy, and idealistic dramas – this drama is a definite must see for you. As the story started, an intricate web string of relationships were presented. But as the drama progresses, these web strings were untied one by one thus laying out a perfect love story for everyone in the series. Idealistic? It indeed is. And apparently, it is the primary reason why I got hooked to this series. It moves away from the stereotypical k-drama series of having to face a lot of difficulties fighting for each others’ love yet in the end the leads will still end up together. Love and Marriage has its own dose of those difficulties as well; it’s just that it is not to the extent of being a tear jerker. A lot of them were presented humorously, that you can barely feel its there.

The Story:

Park Hyun Soo is a divorce lawyer working next door to a match-making agency for divorced people called, “The Last Love”. Lee Kang Hyun is a couple manager of the same agency. Working next door, it is inevitable for the two leads not to see each other on a daily basis. But it actually wasn’t a love at first sight thing for them. In fact, at the first two episodes they were seen squabbling all the time. It seems to be the case as one is ending marriage by profession while the other is bringing divorced couples together.

Lee Kang Hyun is in a relationship with a law student who has been her boyfriend for five years. While Park Hyun Soo is a divorced divorce lawyer (.**.) who still maintains a friendly relationship with his wife. Although, his ex-wife is still hoping he could get him back but for Hyun Soo, there’s no more light of hope into being together again as he sees his ex-wife purely as a friend.


Kang Hyun broke up with his long time boyfriend for the reason that he wants to quit law school. Being a matchmaker that she is, qualification is important for couples. It’s like a point system wherein scores were given for looks, bank funds, occupation and other materialistic matters. But after breaking up, Kang Hyun’s boyfriend, Kyung Hwan, moved on effortlessly even to the extent of getting a new girlfriend. On the other hand, Kang Hyun was thinking things over and came up with a conclusion that she still loves Kyung Hwan.

And on a sudden twist of fate, Hyun Soo and Kang Hyun became friends by virtue having shared a common “security” place in the office which is the building rooftop. This eventually became the lovers’ nest and witnessed how the relationship between the two characters bloomed.

Like any other lover stories getting a dilemma, Love & Marriage is not an exception. But as what I have stated earlier, it was humorously and wittily done so you take it lightly and laugh out at the situation most of the time.

Since Park Hyun Soo is a divorced man, Kang Hyun on the other hand is single and never was married. Kang Hyun’s parent is in absolute decision not to let their daughter date a divorced man, much more marry her. But through Kang Hyun’s persistent plea to her parents, they eventually allowed her to date Hyun Soo provided they will not be tying the knot anytime soon. Actually, Hyun Soo should also be credited to the change of heart of Kang Hyun’s parents as he showed them that his intentions for Kang Hyun are genuine and pure.

Towards the end of the series, Hyun Soo was scheduled to have a vacation in Cuba for a month. This has been his dream since his teens. Kang Hyun agreed to this decision of Hyun Soo because she didn’t want to be a hindrance in fulfilling Hyun Soo’s long time dream. But deep inside her, she really didn’t want Hyun Soo to go. On the airport, before Hyun Soo’s flight, the two decided to stroll to a nearby beach since they still have around three hours before Hyun Soo’s flight.

On the beach the two sat down and talked. Until Kang Hyun mentioned that her favorite superhero is Superman because he can rotate the world (literally) and turn back time. A sleepy Kang Hyun leaned over Hyun Soo’s shoulder and slept. 30 minutes before Hyun Soo’s flight, he tried waking up Kang Hyun. But she fell into deep sleep that Hyun Soo didn’t bother to wake her up anymore and just let her sleep. During this time he adjusted Kang Hyun’s watch by 2 hours. This is in connection with Superman’s ability to turn back time. He did it for Kang Hyun thus missing his flight.

As Kang Hyun woke up, she checked her watch and saw that they needed to go back to the airport because there is only 30 minutes left before Hyun Soo’s flight. Hyun Soo, acting like as if nothing happened, proceeded to the airport with Kang Hyun. At the airport, the lovers bid each other goodbye. Kang Hyun was expecting to get a kiss on the lips but Hyun Soo gave her a peck on her forehead. Haha! The dismay on Kang Hyun’s face. She tried to act as if she was cool with the idea. But “don’t go, don’t leave me” is written all over her face.

As Kang Hyun left the airport, she went back to the beach and poured her anger and frustration out. What she didn’t know Hyun Soo had already missed his flight and following her around while she was giving tantrums about Hyun Soo’s trip to Cuba. A smirking Hyun Soo approached Kang Hyun who was lying on the seashore. Opening her eyes, she saw Hyun Soo in front of her. He told her that he has missed the flight and decided to stay.

On the last scene of the series, the two were seen on a deck of a boat. Kang Hyun asked Hyun Soo as to actually where the are going. Hyun Soo answered that he has no idea because for him the place he goes doesn’t matter. What matters most is through his journey, he wants Kang Hyun to be with him and be with her all the time. Then Hyun Soo revealed to her that he has become her Superman as he turned back time in order for them to be together. They kissed. The End.

And now, for the question posted above: can ex-lovers really be friends? In the drama it was. It’s idealistic. But I think one would be a hypocrite saying that he/she has no ill feelings towards his/her ex and could go on life as if nothing happened.

For me, it’s a yes. Ex-lovers can be friends but it will take time. As the saying goes, time heals all wounds. You may not hit off instantly but if the years you spent together were pleasant and serene, being friends may not be a problem after all.

Ipod Engineer? :)

Last night, Han Min Cheol Hyung(read:kuya) arrived from his Korean vacation. Being the Hyung that he is, he brought a present for me.

For a time now, I haven't found the perfect protection sheet for my Ipod. There are a lot available here but nothing matches to what I was looking for. I'm looking for the same vinyl sheet nestled on Kwon Min Seok Ahjussi's(read:tito.. haha) Ipod which he bought in Korea 2 months ago. It's the perfect protective sheet for an Ipod. The sheet is a little thick and covers his whole Ipod. Thus, not needing any case or whatever to protect it during use.


And to my surprise, Min Cheol Hyung brought the same protective sheet, as what Min Seok Ahjussi has, for me! Asa!!! (.**.)

So this morning, while work hasn't loaded up on me yet, I tried to put the protective sheet to my Ipod. But to my dismay, it was so hard! I swear, it may look easy with the directions on the box but once you started it yourself, my oh my, it was really hard. In fact it almost took me half an hour to put the sheet on the front side. Yet it still wasn' perfect as some bubbles(?) or whatever you call those things popping out from the laid sheet, were visible.


While doing my thing, Kuya Jason and Kwan Hee were looking at me intently as none of us really knows how to put that thing. The two, maybe, saw the frustration that I have to perfectly lay it out so they told me to ask Min Seok Hyung to help me. But I was too shy to call him since he may be busy. And I don't want to disturb anybody else just to help me put a vinyl sheet on my Ipod.


Little did I know that Kuya Jason has already informed Min Seok Ahjussi about my dilemma. And at an instant, Min Seok Ahjussi came in to the rescue.

Oh my! He was good at it. And it was laid out on my Ipod perfectly. As you can see on the picture below, he was damn serious doing his thing.



While Min Seok Ahjussi was busy doing it, Kuya Jason suddenly blurted out "Mr. Kwon, you are an Ipod Engineer!" Haha.. Everybody bursted into laughter even the oh-so-busy-Mr. Kwon stopped to laugh. Well, for your information, Min Seok Ahjussi is the go to guy in the office concerning any gadget. He has all the answer for your queries!



Oh well thank you Min Seok Ahjussi for fixing the protective sheet for me! You are my hero!!! *wink*



It may look as if nothing is protecting it, but the vinyl sheet will definitely be protecting my Ipod. I can now use it freely without fearing of getting scratches here and there. But of course I still would be careful not to drop it as the protective sheet doesn't cover the "dropping your IPOD thing"! Haha..

Yes. You read it right. I am in love again.. Not with someone though, but an object! (@* *@)

I'm totally into this new camera that I bought from Leica. Everything just seems to be perfect!

Amazing clarity and sharpness with its shots without a flash at that, only using available light! Whoa!! Definitely the best point and shoot camera in town. I'm not going into the specifics yet as I only have explored that AF mode. I'll do that once I have tried every bits of it.

I'm Feeling So Good

I'm feeling better now compared to the past 2 days. Although it is not completely forgotten, at least there are some improvements! Yey!!! ^_~

As they say, time heals all wounds. It will not be totally erased in just a blink of an eye or a night of drunkeness.. It will take time but I'm on the process of it so soon enough I'll be back to myself already.

This will be the last time I'll be posting about "it". I know it'll be a big help in the process of moving on if you talk or think less about it.

Who Says Breaking Up Is Easy?

I thought it would be. I was so wrong. All the good times spent together, the ups and the downs, the feeling of being one but most of all the unconditional love that was once shared all flashes back to me.

Now, the love is lost?

I was the one who called it quits. I have been saying all along, Long Distance Relationship just doesn't work for me. I know for some it is feasible. But it really is not my cup of tea.

I still love you. Trust me, I really do. I just need time to find myself back. Who knows, in the end, as what you said, you could still be my miracle!

Let the Show Begin

Today, I am officially single.. again.

But being separated from my miracle wouldn't mean that my world has to stop turning. (Actually, it never was the case for me even with my past relationships and it will never be.) Life is too short to put burden on it so I might as well enjoy every moment of it. I embrace "SINGLEHOOD" with my arms wide open.

When something ends, a new beginning is to come. And a way to jumpstart the moving on process is to learn and do things you have not done before. So today I told myself, I should start a blog! And I did.

So let the show begin! ^_^
